Out of The Blues |
I hear the echoes of my past again bouncing back along the canyon walls. Another lifetime so far away in another place, face and time. Out of the blues baby and into the light, out of these dreams I had nearly all of my life. Out of the blues mama and into the light, over the hill and down that road one more time. I feel the seasons as they pass me by, the weather's changing all around me. I've never been the kind to stop and wonder why one door closes behind while the other opens wide. Out of the blues baby and into the light, out of these dreams I had nearly all of my life. Out of the blues mama and into the light, over the hill and down that road one more time. I hear the lessons of my past again, that little voice that screams inside my head, "Walk if you can't run, better swim so you don't drown, 'cause Mother Nature and time, yea, they're coming to track you down." Out of the blues baby and into the light, out of these dreams I had nearly all of my life. Out of the blues mama and into the light, over the hill and down that old road one more time...... |
